MEET JENNIFER SADLER,
LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST
My path to acupuncture began with a personal health crisis. After a car accident left me with chronic pain, I went through countless conventional treatments that provided little relief. I was essentially told I'd have to live with this pain for the rest of my life. When I was finally referred to acupuncture as a last resort, I was skeptical but desperate.
What happened next changed everything—not just my pain levels, but my entire understanding of healing. The acupuncture didn't just mask my symptoms; it addressed the root cause of my pain and eliminated what doctors said would be permanent. This experience taught me the profound difference between treating symptoms and treating the source of a problem.
That transformation from patient to practitioner drives everything I do today. Every day, I get to offer hope to people who are where I once was—told there are no solutions, that they'll have to 'manage' their condition indefinitely. What keeps me inspired is witnessing those breakthrough moments when patients realize their bodies have an incredible capacity to heal when we address the underlying imbalances rather than just suppressing symptoms.
I'm motivated by the opportunity to help people reclaim their lives, just as acupuncture helped me reclaim mine. It's not just about pain relief—it's about restoring people's faith in their body's ability to heal and giving them back their quality of life.

ACUPUNCTURE FAQ
1. What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that uses very fine needles to stimulate specific points on the body, helping restore balance, improve energy flow, and support the body’s natural healing process.
2. Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people feel little to no pain during acupuncture. You may experience a brief pinch that fades immediately as the needle is inserted, followed by sensations of warmth, tingling, or heaviness, which are normal signs that your body is responding.
3. What conditions can acupuncture help with?
Acupuncture can support a wide range of concerns, including chronic pain, migraines, stress, anxiety, digestive issues, sleep disturbances, fertility support, women’s health, allergies, hormone regulation, addiction, and overall wellness.
4. How many sessions will I need?
The number of treatments depends on your condition, goals, and overall health. Some people notice improvement after one session, while others may need several sessions over weeks or months for lasting results. Your acupuncturist will create a personalized plan.
5. Is acupuncture safe?
Yes. When performed by a licensed practitioner, acupuncture is very safe. We use sterile, single-use, disposable needles to ensure the highest level of safety and hygiene. Our licensed acupuncturist has completed 3-4 years of specialized, graduate-level training in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, which includes over 1,000 hours of classroom instruction and supervised clinical practice. Look for practitioners who are Licensed Acupuncturists (L.Ac.) and hold Diplomate in Acupuncture (Dipl.Ac.) credentials.
6. Can children receive acupuncture?
Yes. Children can safely receive acupuncture. Parents are required to stay on the premises for the duration of the appointment and may choose to be in the room with their child if they wish. Treatments are always tailored to their age, comfort level, and specific health needs.
7. What should I do before my appointment?
Drink plenty of water throughout the day, have a light snack beforehand, and avoid caffeine or alcohol before your session when possible. If you're using our sauna or cold plunge facilities, please enjoy those services prior to your acupuncture treatment.
8. What can I expect during a session?
Your practitioner will review your health history, discuss your concerns, and develop a customized treatment plan. During treatment, you’ll rest comfortably while the needles are gently placed. Initial sessions are 90 minutes and recalibration/follow-up sessions are 60 minutes. Read more about what to expect from your first session in this blog post.
9. Are there any side effects?
Most people feel relaxed and may notice improved sleep or energy levels after acupuncture. Mild, temporary effects can include slight soreness where needles were placed, feeling drowsy, or experiencing emotional release. These gentle responses typically indicate that the treatment is working and resolve quickly.
10. Can acupuncture be combined with other treatments?
Absolutely. Acupuncture works well alongside conventional medicine, physical therapy, massage, infrared sauna, and other holistic therapies. Always inform your acupuncturist of other treatments you are receiving.
11. Do you accept insurance for acupuncture?
Some insurance plans do cover acupuncture. We recommend checking with your provider, and we’re happy to provide any documentation needed for reimbursement. We do accept HSA and FSA.
12. How should I feel after acupuncture?
Many people feel deeply relaxed, clear-headed, or energized after a session. Some notice immediate relief, while others experience gradual improvement over time.
13. What if I’m afraid of needles?
Acupuncture needles are extremely thin—about the size of a strand of hair—and feel very different from medical needles. Many clients who were nervous at first are surprised by how comfortable and calming the experience is.
14. Who should avoid Acupuncture?
Most people can safely receive acupuncture, but we take extra care with certain health conditions. If you have bleeding disorders, take blood-thinning medications, are pregnant, or experience seizures, please discuss acupuncture with your healthcare provider first. During your consultation, we'll review your medical history together to create the safest, most effective treatment plan for you.
